Meet Our Staff
Welcome to our Center! We are super excited to have you join our TLP family. We are the Cheatham Family! Our little family consist of myself (Ms. Mary), my husband (CK), Seth, Kaiden, Emmett, and our puppy Remington. My husband and I started working in childcare when we were in high school. I eventually earned my Masters in Education from VCU and continued to work in the childcare field. I started off as a Pre-K teacher and eventually became the Director of the TLP. CK earned his degree in Fire Science and joined the Hanover Fire/EMS as a firefighter/EMT. We were given the opportunity to purchase the TLP in 2017 and that is exactly what we did! We are super passionate about giving kiddos the foundation that they need in order to prepare them for the future! As a family, we love baseball! We spend the majority of our free time on the ballfield or traveling to a baseball tournament!
Hi, I'm Ms. Tricia. I am the Director/School Age Program Director at The Learning Playhouse.
My name is Ms. Ashley and i am the Pre-K program director. I have worked at the TLP for 8 years, and have loved every bit of it! In our Pre-K program, we work with our students based on their individual needs to get them ready for kindergarten!

Ms. Momo has worked as a teacher for 2-year-olds at TLP since 2015. She enjoys cooking and cherishing moments with family!
My name is Ms. Anna and I'm a dedicated and passionate 4's teacher at the TLP. I've been in the childcare industry since 2018 and have been teaching at TLP since October 2023. I love my job and I take great care in ensuring that my students receive the best possible education. I believe that every child is unique and I strive to provide a learning environment that is tailored to their individual needs.
Hi I'm Ms. Kerry and I'm very excited to have recently joined the TLP family as a 4's teacher. I love all things Disney and to lose myself in a good book.
My name is Mr. James. I've been a part of The Learning Playhouse since 2006. The School Age building is where I will be, unless you see me fumbling around in the kitchen while Ms. Med is out. I drive the bus, make jokes, draw pictures, build websites and occasionally handle the unwanted rodent, reptile, or insect that makes its way onto the property. I enjoy making kids smile and laugh!
My name is Genesis Brown. I been at TLP for about 2 years working in the 3 year old classroom. It is a privilege to be able to teach young minds. I love marvel superheroes and love to read.

Hello, everyone! I'm Ms. Med, and I find great joy in working with children and cooking. I have dedicated nearly 45 years to working with kids, with 20 of those years spent at The Learning Playhouse. During weekends, I indulge in gardening and cherish quality moments with my family.
